The Tri-City Tide battled hard in their preseason matchup against the Halifax Hoopers but came up short in a 103-85 contest. Despite the final score, the team showed heart, hustle, and plenty of promise as they continue to prepare for the season ahead.
Qyemah Gibson made his presence felt with deep three-pointers, keeping the offense flowing and the crowd engaged. Doug Thomas was dominant in the paint as always, showcasing his versatility with strong post moves, mid-range jumpers, and relentless energy on both ends of the floor.
Kirvaris Myrick displayed his defensive prowess with multiple steals and lockdown defense on the perimeter, proving to be a relentless force throughout the game.
However, the standout performer of the night and our Player of the Game, brought to you by Sparks Creative, was Christian Ndiaye. He finished the game with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks, making a significant impact on both ends of the floor.
As the Tide continues to build chemistry and improve, there’s plenty to be excited about for the season ahead. Stay tuned for more action as we gear up for what promises to be an electrifying year of basketball!
