Former Nbiaa All Star in Matt Robertson Joins The Tide!

Matt Robertson, a 6’8″ forward from Birmingham, Alabama, is making waves as he joins the Tri-City Tide, bringing a combination of skill, experience, and a relentless passion for the game. His journey is marked by a winning mentality and a history of excellence at every level of his career.

During his high school days at Briarwood Christian School, Robertson was a standout athlete. In his senior year, he led his team to an impressive 28-2 record and a state championship. His exceptional performance on the court earned him the title of Team MVP and recognition as an NBIAA All-Star, solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising young players in the region.

Robertson’s success continued as he moved to St. Thomas University, where he made an immediate impact as a freshman, earning the prestigious Rookie of the Year award. Over his collegiate career, his leadership and consistency on the court were further recognized when he was named Team MVP. At Rollins College, where he later played, Robertson started all 33 games in his senior year, averaging 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while also excelling academically as a member of the NABC Honors Court.

Robertson’s professional career began with stints in international leagues, including playing for the Moncton Magic in the National Basketball League of Canada. His international experience further honed his skills and added a new dimension to his game, making him a versatile and seasoned player.
