Tide Youth Camp Recap | A Weekend of Hoops, Energy, and Inspiration

This past weekend, the Tri City Tide hosted a high-energy, two-day Youth Camp that brought kids from across the region together to learn the game, grow their skills, and connect with Tide players in a fun and inspiring environment. Held on April 13th and 14th, the camp was a big success—packed with learning moments, game action, and lots of smiles.
Tide players including Adrian Mike, Kyler Haynes, James French, and others were hands-on throughout the camp, leading drills, offering tips, and sharing their passion for the game. From learning how to shoot the three-ball with confidence to mastering rebounding and boxing out, kids got a true taste of high-level basketball fundamentals in an engaging and supportive setting.
More than just skills, the camp emphasized the importance of effort, teamwork, and having fun. The players brought energy and heart, and the campers matched it every step of the way.
As Sly Watkins shared during the event:

“It’s great to be out here with the kids. They’re very engaged with the players—some of us are out here sweating! The kids have a lot of energy. Whenever you get a chance, bring your kids out. We do a lot of these events throughout the year, and we look forward to seeing you.”
The Tri City Tide would like to thank all the families who participated and helped make the weekend such a success. Seeing the players connect with the next generation is what it’s all about—building community through basketball and inspiring the future of the game.
Stay tuned for more camps and events throughout the season!
