The Tri-City Tide are excited to announce the signing of Mark McLaughlin, a dynamic 6’3″ guard whose basketball journey has been marked by exceptional skill, leadership, and a relentless passion for the game.

McLaughlin’s basketball career began at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he quickly made a name for himself. In his rookie season, he was named the AUS Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the CIS All-Rookie Team. His outstanding performance continued throughout his tenure at Saint Mary’s, earning him multiple selections to the AUS First Team All-Star, including in 2008 when he helped lead Saint Mary’s to an AUS Championship.

McLaughlin’s contributions were instrumental in Saint Mary’s success. In 2007, he was named to the CIS Tournament All-Star Team, and in 2009, he was honored as the team’s Most Valuable Player. His leadership and performance on the court were pivotal in securing victories and championships for his team.

Known for his winning mentality, McLaughlin’s presence on the court is characterized by his strategic playmaking, defensive prowess, and ability to inspire his teammates. His experience and passion for the game make him a valuable addition to the Tri-City Tide.
